Dr. Bannerman and Dr. Kuperman awarded Canada Research Chairs
McMaster has been awarded six new Canada Research Chairs (CRCs) including two in the Faculty of Humanities awarded to Dr. Bannerman and Dr. Kuperman.
Dr. Sara Bannerman was awarded the Canada Research Chair in Communication Policy and Governance. Her work is centered on the history and future of copyright with an emphasis on non-powerful nations as well as the use of online crowdfunding in the production of cultural works.
Dr. Victor Kuperman was awarded the Canada Research Chair in Psycholinguistics. Victor works with the community and other researchers around McMaster campus to develop better methods of adult literacy reading.
The awards total up to $8.9-million in funding across 9 research chair holders. Congratulations to all!
