President’s Corridor Art Exhibit Offers Unique Views of Hamilton

A new art exhibit in the President’s Corridor has just gone up featuring the works of students enrolled in the Book Arts (ART 3BA3) and Environmentally Responsible Art (ART 2ER3). Hamilton: The View from Here includes paintings, artist books and a collaborative felted map – all inspired by the City of Hamilton and the surrounding region.

Students from the course used maps from the McMaster University Library’s Lloyd Reeds Map collection and took a tour to Stelco Tower to get a birds-eye view of the entire region to help inspire the resulting art.

The works will remain in the President’s Corridor in Gilmour Hall until the end of August.
