Dr. Giroux to receive Professional Freedom and Responsibility Award
Congratulations to McMaster Professor Henry A. Giroux who is set to receive the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication’s Professional Freedom and Responsibility Award.
Dr. Giroux, a member of the Department of English & Cultural Studies and both the McMaster University Professor for Scholarship in the Public Interest and The Paulo Freire Distinguished Scholar in Critical Pedagogy. Giroux is a public academic with an extensive list of books, editorials, and interviews carried on broadcasts in Canada, the United States and internationally. The award recognizes his extensive contributions in exemplifying principles of free expression, inclusivity, and media accountability.
