MADAWASKA QUARTET & ENSEMBLE is known for their diverse repertoire, ranging from Baroque to contemporary, performance and mainstream pieces. In 2012, the MSQ welcomed two remarkable pianists, Leslie Kinton and Brett Kingsbury, expanding the group to an ensemble. They have also collaborated with clarinetist, Guy Yehuda. Their international travels have brought them to Festival Iberoamericano in Puerto Rico, the Festival of the Sound, The Elora Festival, the Toronto International Chamber Music Festival, New Music North, and the “Music at Port Milford” International Chamber Music Festival. Their debut CD, Prefab includes Scnittke’s String Quartet no. 3, to name one of many works, and a recording with guitarist Rob MacDonald. The album as well features works by Omar Daniel, Peter Sculthorpe and Christopher William Pierce.
