I could start by telling you all about when I met Bono, but itís a much better story when I tell it, rather than when I write it, so just ask me, Iíll be more than happy to share! Instead, I will start with a list of my favourite things. That way, if weíre sitting around together and looking to make conversation, you can choose a topic from this handy list, and poof! Instant conversation!
U2 - The Irish rock band extraordinaire! This summer, I saw them in concert five times, and they were incredible at every show!
NKOTB (Joe McIntyre in specific) - Yes, I do mean New Kids on the Block. I saw them open for Tiffany when I was 11 years old and I've been a fan ever since! Come on, you can't tell me you don't know the words (and the dance!) to The Right Stuff!
The Blue Jays - My favourite sport and my favourite team! (NB Ė Only ask about my Gord Ash theory if you have A LOT of time on your hands to listen to me!)
The English monarchy and its history - I love talking about the history of the Royal Family! Things that happened hundreds of years ago make the whole Prince Charles-Camilla thing look like a walk in Hyde Park!
If youíre looking for a laugh, ask me to tell a joke. Please specify the kind of joke you would like to hear. I warn you, you will think my jokes are dumb. But they will evoke at least a giggle.
The Simpsons Ė If you are a Simpsons fan, talk to me! I love spouting out random lines (sometimes entire episodes) and if you understand what Iím talking about, thatís so cool! For instance, if you understand "Me fail English? That's unpossible!" then you must talk to me about your favourite episodes!
Movies Ė I love movies and can recite many passages by heart. Some people do that with Shakespeare, I do it with Hollywood. My favourite movies to recite lines from are Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Clueless, Austin Powers, and The Full Monty. I also do National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, but you might want to wait until closer to December to ask me about that one, it's much funnier then.
The 80s. - Did you know they're doing a Degrassi High Reunion special? Also, a Facts of Life Reunion is filming as you read!
Below are some pictures. I enjoy taking pictures and have filled many a photo album. Here are a few I think youíll like.
This is a picture of my friend Michelle's nephew. His name is Owen, and he was just a day old when this photo was taken. He was born on September 14, 2000.
This is a picture of Joe McIntyre and ME! Say what you want about the Boy Bands of today, New Kids on the Block RULE! Why the smile? I waited 11 years to meet this guy!
Feel free to e-mail me with questions, comments, or whatever else. Please do not ask me to solve any equations, because frankly, I just don't know how to do them.ABrewitt@cs.com
