"McMaster’s philosophy department is simply superb.  I completed my B.A.hons and my M.A. at McMaster before pursuing doctoral studies at the University of Cambridge and an M.S.L. at the University of Toronto.  My education at McMaster was invaluable for preparing me for my doctoral work and my work in law that followed. In fact, the knowledge base which I acquired during these early years of study informs all aspects of my work on a daily basis. While at McMaster, I also had the good fortune of writing my M.A. thesis under the careful guidance of Wil Waluchow, to whom I am greatly indebted. Impressively, Wil has been able to create a vibrant intellectual community of jurisprudes who continue to make their mark on the world of legal philosophy and beyond.  While graduate studies can prove to be quite isolating at times, the legal philosophy program at McMaster offers students a unique opportunity to pursue philosophical excellence within a supportive and friendly atmosphere.  Wil also ensures that his students are connected to the wider community of scholars who are working on issues relating to law and political theory more generally.  Wil and his colleagues have created a unique program of study that bright young students will continue to benefit from, both personally and intellectually."
