Studio Art students turn trash to treasure in new Makerspace

Studio Art and Multimedia Professor Chris Myhr

Students in Chris Myhr’s Studio Art Media Installation and Performance course gained first-hand experience working with electronics and do-it-yourself culture in the new Makerspace in Thode Library.

Repurposing old electronics and turning them into new works of art was made possible thanks to community donations and the new Makerspace. The Makerspace is an interdisciplinary area recently opened in Thode Library with the necessary space and technology that enables projects like this one.
