Islam in North America: History and Contemporary Manifestations
In response to an increasing number of Islamophobic incidents in Canada, the Departments of History and Religious Studies, the Wilson Institute for Canadian History and the Hannah History of Medicine Unit at McMaster University have organized a panel on March 8, 2016 to consider the history and contemporary experiences of Muslims in North America. Various aspects will be explored including how Muslim-North Americans are perceived and the ways in which such perceptions shape their communities.
