Communications Studies & Multimedia presents a public talk and live performance by artist programmer and Associate Professor David Ogborn entitled “The Secret Life of d0kt0r0”. All are welcome.

For eight years now, Dr. Ogborn (a.k.a. d0kt0r0) has been leading live coding and network music activities at McMaster, including the university’s live coding Cybernetic Orchestra. His public talk will seek to trace a deeper network of situations, places, objects, mentors and theoretical spurs that flow into and out of this research, with a special attention to some but not all of the secret reference points there is hardly ever time to acknowledge. The talk will conclude with a live coding performance exploring some of the capabilities of the new flexible theatre space in L.R. Wilson Hall.
