On Tuesday, 20 September, at 12:30pm, Dr. Michael Egan will present “How Science Became Science: A Social History of Truth” on the first floor of Thode Library (beside the Reactor Café) as part of McMaster University’s Science Literacy Week festivities. The talk investigates the rise of objectivity and the politics of truth as they emerged during the Scientific Revolution, before concluding with some insights into science’s place in our contemporary world.
