McMaster Global Justice Collaboratory Workshop: Diversity & Inclusion

January 30, 2016
10:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Council Chambers (GH-111), McMaster University

The Arts & Science Program and the McMaster Global Justice Hub advisory committee invite you to participate in the inaugural McMaster Global Justice Collaboratory Workshop. This day long event will provide participants with the opportunity to meet and learn from a range of individuals interested in global justice, to form connections, and to begin to develop plans for meaningful action and/or advocacy.

The theme of this year’s workshop is “Diversity and Inclusion.” The day will begin with a keynote address on this topic by Dr. Eugène  Nshimiyimana, Chair of the Department of French at McMaster University. Following that, participants will work in pre-selected teams to discuss and develop ideas for responding to related sub-topics, such as the global refugee crisis, equity and inclusion in teaching and learning, and the impact of #BlackLivesMatter and similar racial justice campaigns. When you register for the event, you will have an opportunity to select topics on which you’d be interested in working.
