The Music program gives students a thorough grounding in the four fundamental areas of music instruction – theory, general musicianship, history and performance – and allows them to focus on specific areas of interest, such as music education, history or theory.

The Music Cognition program provides music students the opportunity to explore exciting new research into how music is perceived in the brain and how it intersects with other aspects of intellectual development. The educational applications of these discoveries will also be considered.

PLEASE NOTE: Students must successfully complete Music I to enter a program in Music.

Programs in Music are administered by The School of the Arts.
