Humanities students can request a one-on-one appointment for career support in the following areas:
- General career advice
- Resume critique
- Cover letter critique
- LinkedIn profile review
Staff will respond to your request within 24-48 business hours.
Questions about Grad School:
Students can self-book appointments with Student Success Centre (SSC) staff through OSCARPlus for questions related to school applications. From the main menu, click on Student Success Centre > Appointments > Book and Appointment. Then click on Careers in the overview page. The appointment type to look for is Personal Statement and Further Education Applications.
If preferred, SSC also offers virtual drop-ins every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 1:30-4:00pm:
- Go to https://app.brazenconnect.com/a/mcmaster-u/s/XYz04/next to register in advance or simply register before you join the chat.
- Join anytime between 1:30 – 4:00pm and drop into the booth representative relevant for your question.
- The chats are on a first come basis and range from 10-15 minutes each.

Humanities Apprenticeship Program
The program provides one-year, full-time, salary-paid, employment opportunities in Hamilton along with mentorship and networking opportunities for undergraduate Humanities students completing their final year of study in 2020/2021.
