CMST 1A03: Intro to Communication

Welcome to the Intro to Communication Studies Course! This is the first course in the new Communication Studies Program at McMaster University. This is an exciting program for the Faculty of Humanities and especially for me, as I was the founding faculty member! If you have any questions regarding the content of the course, do not hesitate to email me or to book an appointment. I am also Undergraduate Counsellor for the Department of Communication Studies and Multimedia. I will, as the term progresses, post the following things on this website:
  1. the course outline;
  2. detailed assignment descriptions;
  3. detailed description of content required for final examination;
  4. notes related to the readings;
  5. links related to the readings and to comm studies in general;
  6. info about events related to the course.
Be sure to check the website the evening before every class, or the day of every class!

If you are having trouble downloading the files from home, try a friend's computer or one of the computers in McMaster's various labs. Sometimes the website is down for maintenance, so if you cannot download a file, wait a day and try again before trying another computer. Cheers, Dr. Sévigny :-)
